Some F.A.Q. about the ceremony and the MECC Location

About (attendance) registration

I missed the deadline for registration, can I still join?
No, sorry. As the graduation ceremony is just a few days away, it's no longer possible to register/join.

Is my UM card enough identification to get my diploma?
No, we need to see a valid ID, for example an EU identity card, drivers license or passport. Please bring your UM card as well, if you still have it. Sorry, we have to be quite strict about this.

If there is an emergency, who do I contact?
If you have a problem on the day of your ceremony, for example if you are in a traffic jam and can't be on time for registration, you can contact us via +31 (0)88 388 7167.

About the ceremony

Will there be a live stream?
Yes, a live stream from the MECC will be arranged. The link for the live stream can be found in the invitation as well as the practical information email.

Is it possible to take photos?
Yes, but no flash photography please. A professional photographer will take general photos during the ceremony. The photographer will not take individual photos of the graduates. You will be able to make photos yourselves at the photo spots before and after the ceremony.

Can I choose my own seat?
The graduates will have assigned seats. Your guests are free to choose their own seats in the Auditorium.

Does the MECC have free wifi?
Yes, free Wi-Fi is available. Choose MECC_FREE_WIFI, accept the conditions and you will have access.

Is there a cloakroom?
Yes, there will be a cloakroom. Please note that while we take great care, personal items left in the cloakroom are the guest’s responsibility. Thank you for understanding!

Is there wheelchair access?
Yes. Disabled people are advised to park at P4 (€ 16,-), as these parking spaces are closest to the elevators. Please place the official disabled parking pass (GPK) on the dashboard so it is visible through the windscreen when you use these parking spaces. Once in the MECC, go to our staff for further support.

Are pets allowed during the graduation ceremony?
Pets are not allowed during the graduation ceremony. Only assistance dogs may be present during the ceremony in the MECC.

Restaurant SAAM
Restaurant Bar Bistro SAAM will also be open during the graduation ceremonies. From 10.00 to 19.00, you are welcome to the restaurant. Here you can enjoy a drink, piece of flan, lunch or a delicious drink before or after the ceremony. SAAM also offers a special Graduation deal: Bar Bistro SAAM - Flyer Graduation Deal 2025.pdf
