DSM and YES!Delft are inviting you to the Finals Event of the Meat Replacement Innovation Challenge.

The benefits of more plant-based foods for the health of the consumer, for animal welfare, and for the future of our planet have captured increasing attention, leading to more and more meatless alternatives on the market.

DSM has already developed a series of ingredients that enhance the taste, texture and nutritional value of such alternatives, and is now looking to take the next step. The Meat Replacement Innovation Challenge gives a carefully selected group of entrepreneurs the opportunity to demonstrate their innovative solution to mimic the real meat experience.

The Challenge | The key challenge in growing into this innovative and relatively new market segment is the ability to capture the hearts of vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. To cater to the latter, plant-based products need to look, taste, and feel like actual animal products.

It is not just about the flavor and texture, it is also about the entire cooking and eating experience – and that has to be as authentic as possible. Achieving this authenticity is what DSM is aiming for.

Finals Event | During this event, the selected finalists will pitch their technological solution in the field of meat replacement innovation. After the pitches, an expert jury will appoint the winner of the Meat Replacement Innovation Challenge who can win €50k to be spent on a joint project with DSM to bring their product to the next level!
