Moving from augmented-reality technology to real-world therapy: ideas are easy, execution is everything

Ideas are easy, execution is everything. To ensure that academic insights and ideas generate real-world impact, public-private partnerships are key to preventing the common pitfall that ideas are lost at the very early idea-to-market process, without even being tested outside our academic bubble. In this lecture, Melvyn will share his learnings of the ideation and execution process underlying C-Mill and Reality DTx® augmented-reality solutions, introduce and demo strengths and weaknesses for rehabilitation and monitoring of state-of-the-art augmented-reality glasses (HoloLens 2, Magic Leap 2), and discuss some meta-science learnings on impact, open science and public-private partnerships.
