Dear all,

Tuesday November 28, Sriganesh Kamath from NIMHANS (National Institute of Mental Health and Neuroscience) in Bangalore will defend his thesis "Assessment and management of perioperative pain in neurosurgical patients".

In the afternoon, November 28 14:00-16:00 we will organize a small symposium to strengthen our ongoing collaboration.

At first Prof David Linden will give an overview of MHeNs and the research currently ongoing. Sriganesh Kamath and Umamaheshwara Rao are on the programme to introduce and review NIMHANS's research.

All PI's and postdocs are cordially invited to be present to discuss common interests and plan collaborative projects in an informal and may be pitch like fashion in the second half of this symposium. This will enable us to start early 2024 with a couple of PhD projects for students in Bangalore under the supervision of both PI's in Bangalore and Maastricht that will eventually lead to a defence at both places.

Participation in the symposium can be on-site (maximum 40 participants: first come - first serve) and online so that PIs at NIMHANS and MHeNs can join and actively participate.

Since only 40 people can participate on-site, registration is mandatory for both online and on-site participation.

Best regards,

Prof David Linden                            Dr Tos Berenschot
