I'm Perfectly Fine - Movie and Group Conversation

English spoken, with Dutch subtitles

13.30 - 14.30 h

Where? Lumiere - Bassin 88

Event by Wellbeing Movement and Disability Support

Embark on a cinematic journey with us as we present 'I'm Perfectly Fine,' a poignant animated adaptation of Maaike Hartjes' 'Burn-out Dagboek.' Join Maya on her whirlwind of a life, where fun and busyness intertwine, but so does the pressure to perform. Witness Maya's journey as she navigates the relentless demands of modern society and her own high expectations, until a severe panic attack shatters her illusion of perfection.

Through Maya's story, delve into themes of performance pressure, self-acceptance, and the realization that imperfection is not only okay but also inevitable. Following the 30-minute screening, join our group discussion led by UM psychologists, where we'll explore the film's themes and their relevance in our own lives. We hope there will be a lot of interaction during this group conversation. Of course, you may also choose to listen and learn. Some people may choose to share something, but no one is expected to do so.
