This is the registration and payment form for the 2025 World Picture Conference. Please fill in your personal details, select the appropriate conference fee and choose form of payment. Personal details provided here will be used for the purposes of enrolment and communication only.

Conference Dinner

Included in the price of the registration fee is a conference dinner, which will take place on the evening of Friday 7^th November. We will be in touch closer to the time to confirm attendance and check dietary requirements.

Venue

University Library, Vendelstraat 2–8, 1012 XX Amsterdam, in the heart of the University Quarter. The venue is within easy walking distance of Amsterdam Central Station and closest to the Waterlooplein, Nieuwmarkt and Rokin metro and tram stops.

Accommodations

Amsterdam has a wide array of hotels in the city centre within walking distance of the University Library. Staying slightly further out can be quieter and often more affordable than city-centre hotels, while still keeping you close to the conference venue. If you prefer staying slightly further away, booking a hotel or Airbnb near any metro or tram line running through Rokin, Waterlooplein, or Nieuwmarkt ensures an easy commute to the conference venue.

Registration Fee

• 50 EURO for students and independent scholars
• 100 EURO for participants with a stable university position

By registering for the conference, you confirm your intent to attend and accept the following parment and attendance policies. Before proceeding with payment, please read the following sections carefully to ensure that you understand all requirements and guidelines.

 

1. It is the responsibility of each participant to ensure that they can legally enter and stay in the Netherlands for the duration of the conference. As the conference starts Friday morning and finishes Saturday evening, we advise that participants schedule their travel to arrive on Thursday 6th  November or earlier and to leave on Sunday  9th November or later. If travelling from abroad, attendees must independently arrange for the necessary visa, travel documents, and any legal permissions required for their stay.
2. It is the responsibility of each participant to arrange their own accommodation for the duration of the summer school. We encourage attendees to book hotels, hostels, or rental options at the earlier possible convenience, as housing in the Netherlands is in short supply, and availability may be limited.
3. In order to ensure that as many people as possible get to attend, we ask that selected attendees register and pay the conference fee no later than Friday 10th October, 11.59pm Central European Time.
4. Finally, please not that registration payments are non-refundable.
