Young Maritime Breakfast in NL Pavilion

Time: Friday 7 November, 10:00 - 12:00h

Place: NL Pavilion by NMT-IRO (Hall 1) Kick off your day with a breakfast session, hosted by Young NMT IRO, and YoungShip.

This interactive event brings together students and young professionals from various maritime-related studies and backgrounds. Take part in speed dating, give short pitches, and put your request for internships or projects on the 'brick wall’.

Innovation Connection Meeting

Time: Friday 7 November from 11:00 - 12:00h

Place: Green Stage (Hall 6)

The Rotterdam Mainport Institute (RMI), Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR), together with Dutch Maritime Network (NML) and City of Rotterdam will organize the Innovation Connection Meeting where students, professors and professionals connect and share new ideas for sustainable seas.

  • Key-notes by Rosanne van Houwelingen, project manager innovation at NMT-IRO on circularity and Maurice Jansen, professor Port & Shipping on wind-assisted shipping (Erasmus University).

  • Inspiring presentations of professors of applied science, researchers, research-lecturers and professionals from the field.

  • Demo-presentations of students on AR, VR and AI.

Who Should Attend?

  • Students (especially interesting for students from STC, RMI, CMI, EAS, RBS & EUR), who want to explore the maritime and logistics sector for projects and research, build their network and find internships.

  • Professionals (both current and former) who are engaged in the sector and wish to share knowledge with upcoming young professionals while staying informed.

Guided Student Tours

Time: Friday 7 November from 13:00 - 13.30h and repeated upon interest

Place: leaving from the Rotterdam Maritime Capital of Europe stand (Hall 2)

Dive deeper into the exhibition with short, guided tours focused on:

  • Wind-assisted shipping

  • Circular shipbuilding and -repair

  • Energy Transition in shipping

These tours are exclusively for students and young professionals. You can either sign up for separate tours or for all 3.
