TORQUE2022 will contribute its humble share to sustainable solutions, by not only focussing the content of the conference on sustainability, but also its organisation. To that end the team has chosen for only vegetarian and vegan catering. The intention is also to organise a paperless conference. Participants will be invited to download an app in which one will find details on the programme, abstracts, speakers, venues and activities. Participants are encouraged to choose for the more sustainable local transport options where feasible, by for example taking the train from Schiphol (the Dutch railways are the first national railways fully functioning on wind energy!) and arranging a bicycle to travel between the city centre and the campus.
