Matthijs Noordzij (male, 1977, PhD), is associate professor in the field of (wearable) technology design in mental healthcare at the University of Twente (UT). He founded the successful Wearables in Practice science-practice network which provides a platform for knowledge transfer and societally relevant research. He obtained extensive funding for projects that set standards for use of wearable technology in daily life and introduce ethical design principles for technology in healthcare. His main ambition is to conceptualize, research and implement value-sensitive design and integration of technology in mental health treatment.
