Speed-befriending!

Do you want to make new friends and meet more like-minded people? Then this event is perfect for you! Come join us for a speed-befriending event (+pizza) on 14 February at 15.30. For this event, we will prepare nice questions and you will be allocated a certain amount of time to speak to one person, after which you will switch to a new person to talk to. After that, we will have some pizza and just have a nice time together.

Kind habits

As a student with an (in)visible disability, chronic illness, neurodivergence, or other possible difficulties in your studies/ health, do you ever feel like motivational workshops tend to be quite unrealistic? Do you feel like setting up habits or routines feels harder for you? Do you pressure yourself to do things that a neurotypical or able-bodied person is "supposed to be able to do"?

Join our kind habits event in collaboration with the Wellbeing Movement. We will have a small presentation on habits after which we will have a discussion with a few UnliMited-Students members on how to make better, kinder, and more realistic habits for yourself as a student with a disability, chronic illness, or neurodivergence. (allies are welcome!) A UM psychologist will be joining our event!

14:00 - 15:00

Yoga for all

We at UnliMited-Students believe that everyone should be able to exercise and move within their own limits. Sometimes there might be pressure to participate in yoga or similar things if you're a person with a disability, chronic illness, neurodivergence, or simply having a hard time, because your limits might look different. That's why we are doing an event called "Yoga for all" in collaboration with the Wellbeing Movement, in order to ensure that everyone feels included!

This is yoga for everyone, but especially for those with a disability, chronic illness, or neurodivergence or similar situations! Take a rest at any time, leave the room if you want, and plenty of possibilities to adjust or change movements and no questions asked! If you for example have mobility issues doing yoga on a chair is also possible. The yoga session will be led by Stephanie Temple.

Then join us for our event on 16 February! This is an event in which you will be able to ask questions and discuss the staff members' experiences at the University.
