Directions

Whether traveling by public transport or car, getting to the conference consists of getting to Den Helder first, from where you will take a ferry to the island.

Public transport

You can plan the entire travel by public transport from Schiphol (=Amsterdam) airport to the conference on www.9292.nl/en.

To get to the conference from Schiphol airport, you should

take the train from Schiphol to Den Helder (planning at www.ns.nl or www.9292.nl/en. )
take the bus or walk to the ferry
take the TESO ferry to Texel (20 min.) You can take your car or bicycle on the ferry.
travel by bus to the Cocksdorp.

If you are unable to use our transfer buses (will not check the names) on Monday 16.09 from the Texel Ferry to the venue De Krim (14.00 hrs./16.45 hrs.), or if you depart before Friday 19.09 at 14.00 hrs. for your return trip home you have two options:

you can make an online reservation for your transport on the island (Note: there is a semi-public minibus that needs to be pre-booked via https://boeking.texelhopper.nl/booking!
1. Texel ferry arrival spot: Pontweg Veerhaven, ‘t Horntje (1-1)
2. Venue: De Krim, de Cocksdorp (108-7)

Car

You can take your car onto the ferry and park at the conference. Plan your route

(Note: please pre-book your ferry travel by car on-line at Tickets (teso.nl) No boat reservation is needed, just drive to Den Helder and follow the signs for the car. Join the car line and show your on-line ticket when the gate is open to drive on the boat. If one boat is full you can wait for the next ferry (see timetable below departing from Den Helder).

Book a bike (electric bike or a normal bike) :

Nothing as Dutch as a bike ride! During Magnons on an island 2024 you can rent a bike at Holiday park de Krim from 16.09 - 20.09.2024. Renting a bike costs € 45,00 (5 days) or € 95,00 for an electric bike.
