Posters

The scientific committee of the PDPC Congress 2023 invites you to submit your abstract for a poster presentation. A selection of these will be presented during the lunch break and at the end of the day.

Entries specifically related to the theme of pandemic and disaster preparedness are very welcome.

Sub themes:

  • Water/climate related disasters and preparedness
  • Pandemic preparedness
  • Impact on society and/or societal resilience
  • Impact on health system and/or health system resilience
  • Cross overs between water/climate related disasters and pandemics

The language of PDPC Conference 2023 is English, so all abstracts must be written in English. Before you start filling out the online abstract form, please read the guidelines and instructions carefully.

Guidelines Abstract submission

The deadline of submission is 13 October, 2023 (extended). The receipt of your abstract will be confirmed by email.

Abstract layout

Before you start with the online abstract form, please prepare the following information:

  • Type your title and abstract in the text box or copy paste your text. Avoid using special characters.
  • Details of the presenting author: family name, initial(s), affiliation(s) and e-mail address.
  • Details of all co-authors: family name, and initial(s).
  • Structure your abstract with the following headings: Title, Introduction, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
  • The abstract body text is limited to a maximum of 300 words. 

Poster layout

  • Portrait A0 format.
  • Posters may be put on the poster boards from Monday morning onwards and can be on display for the entire day.
  • Supplies to put up the posters will be provided at the conference.

Review process 

The PDPC 2023 scientific committee will review the abstracts. The committee will contact authors by 18 September 2023 at the latest with formal acceptance or rejection notices in order to allow presenters sufficient time to prepare the poster, register for the conference and make travel arrangements. All notifications will be sent to the e-mail address provided during the abstract submission process. 

Registration

All accepted presenters must register for the conference before the deadline of 15 October, 2023. Presenters not registered by this date will not be included in the programme.

Dissemination of abstracts

All accepted abstracts will be published on the conference website.
