Check out The Mindfulnest at the University Library (UB). In this lovingly made, stimulus-free cabin the focus is completely on you.
Settle into a comfortable position and relax in your own way. Catch your breath, listen to the offered meditation and mindfulness exercises, sit in silence, or use your own meditation app. By taking a seat in The Mindfulnest you can increase your concentration, reduce stress and feel empowered to embrace your day with more energy!

09:00 - 15:00 | Try Out Squash
30 minute slots at UM Sports | University Sports Centre P. Debyeplein 15
Squash is a good way to stay fit and is even one of the healthiest sports in the world (Forbes, 2003). You burn many calories and improve the flexibility and strength of your muscles. In addition, squash is good for your mental health, because exercise is relaxing and reduces your stress level.
Have you always wanted to try squash out? Then this is your chance. On Monday 1 November and Wednesday 3 November, you can book a squash court in the University Sports Centre (USC) for 30 minutes slots for free!
Please bring with you:
- Comfortable sportswear
- Indoor shoes (note: no black soles!)
- Squash racket and squash ball if you have them, otherwise you can borrow them in the USC.
09:00 - 12:00 | Mini Health Check
15 minute slots at UM Sports | University Sports Centre P. Debyeplein 15
Are you curious about the status of your general health?
Then make an appointment for a mini health check. During this short health check, your weight, length, BMI, fat percentage, visceral fat, blood pressure and grip strength will be measured.
The results of these measurements are only shared with you and you will receive the results on paper. If the results give reason to do so, you will receive a short advice.
Preparation:
- Do not eat or drink just before the measurements
- Avoid drinks containing caffeine before the measurements
- Wear comfortable clothing and an upper part of which the sleeve can be pulled up because of the blood pressure measurement.

Let's start the week together in meditation. It is a good way to be present, ready, focused, and loving. It is half an hour of guided meditation and relaxation with Petra in which the experience of meditation is the most important.
Petra Körmendy has been teaching meditation for more than 10 years, she is trained in different meditation traditions, such as vipassana, Sufi, zen, mantra, kriya, tantra, and several Christian meditation techniques. She teaches basics of enabling your heart to feel, your mind to silence, and your whole being to open.
Because of the vulnerable nature of practising meditation and thus in the interest of everyone attending, we like to ask you to join on time. In case you happen to be late, please simply join the next meditation on Wednesday at 12.00.

In this hands-on workshop, we are going to explore the concept of multipotentiality and learn how to thrive as a multipotentialite yourself!

Now more than ever it's important to feel interconnected with the human and more than human world to feel relaxed and joyful and to be able to show compassion and respect for each other. Come join Michelle van Mulken, a nature coach and ANFT trained Nature and Forest Therapy Guide, for a nature therapy workshop, a practice that is currently receiving a lot of media attention for its significant effect on improving our overall wellbeing. Michelle will act as a guide (not as a therapist!). Her role is to provide you with invitations that will help you to connect more deeply with nature in ways that can facilitate healing, relaxation, wonder, enjoyment, a deeper connection with self, a deeper awareness of our interconnectedness with each other and with the more than human world. Trust that you will receive from this practice whatever it is that you need in this very moment.
