Abstracts and posters

The call for abstract submission for the Benelux Metabolomics Days 2023 is open and possible until the 29th of September, 2023. We encourage all MSc and PhD students to bring a poster of your work, to share this with the community to make new connections and enlarge your metabolomics network.

The scientific program committee makes a selection of the submitted abstracts for oral presentations and posters as well as for poster pitches.

NEW: Best Poster Prize!

NMC will award one poster as BEST POSTER that will be presented during the postersessions of the conference! Make sure you present your research in form of a poster during one of the 2 conference days!

The BEST POSTER receives a travel grant for an amount of 500€ to travel to the EUSM-2024 (European School for Metabolomics 2024, April, 22-26).

Biomedical applications (epidemiological studies, ageing)

Submission guidelines

You can submit your abstract to EasyChair. If you don't have an EasyChair account yet, you will be prompted to create one the first time you visit EasyChair.

Please note that the BMD-2023 are co-organized with Exposome-NL conference 2023 and that we are sharing the EasyChair platform, please choose the topics starting with "BeMetabolomicsD23-" and check the submission guidlines on this website.

If there are questions do not hesitate to ask us!

You can upload your abstract for:
- an ORAL (presentation 10-12 mins) if selected, otherwise poster
  - => deadline 03.10.2023!
- 2 POSTER sessions (on day 1 and 2)

There will also be the possiblity to give a POSTER PITCH during the second day of the conference. The selection for poster pitches and will be made by the scientific committee, you will be informed!

EasyChair will ask you for the following information:
- authors and co-authors and affiliations
- the title of the abstract
- the abstract text itself (copy to the EasyChair system)
- and an upload of a pdf of the whole abstract!

The abstract should be written in Times New Roman 12 and is limited to 3000 characters including the title, body, authors, affiliations and spacing (fit on one A4). If applicable please use the section headings “Introduction”, “Approach”, “Results” and “Discussion”.
