Dear colleagues,

The BioSB 2025 conference is scheduled for 20 & 21 May 2025 at Kasteel de Berckt in Baarlo. We hope to welcome many of you! Experienced scientists, entrepreneurs and (PhD) students/colleagues who are just starting their careers in bioinformatics or systems biology, we want to give all of you the opportunity to discuss the latest research developments in bioinformatics, systems and computational (systems biology) and their broad applications in life sciences & health, agriculture, food & nutrition.

The BioSB conferences are organized by the BioSB research school with support from the TDCC-LSH and Health-RI. Every year, a different cooperation partner is sought from within the BioSB community, who makes a strong case for yet another attractive and original edition that year. This year, three Nijmegen partners have united and are co-organizing BioSB 2025: HAN, Radboud UMC and Radboud University.

Prof.Dr. Peter-Bram ‘t Hoen will chair the meeting, and many experts from the BioSB community are working together in the Programme Committee to ensure a scientifically interesting and challenging programme.

Of course, we also want to provide plenty of time for networking and socialising. Much attention will be paid to presented posters. As for the social aspects, you can expect efforts from the organisation to ensure that you can have a good time with your colleagues, have good conversations over drinks and snacks (and possibly be surprised by the evening programme organized by YoungCB).

NEW THIS YEAR: Early Bird Discount (until 9 April 2025)

To ensure that the administration of the congress does not come under too much pressure at the last minute, an early fee discount has been instituted. This expires on 9 April 2025. Be alert to this: the discount is in the order of 30%

 

Evening programme 20 May

On 20 May in the evening, after the poster sessions, there will be a BBQ dinner for all conference participants (included in the cost). This will take ample account of people eating vegetarian food. The evening programme is organized by YoungCB, where they have taken into account the wishes of many members of the BioSB community.

 

Bring your running shoes

Wednesday 21 May, you can get a fresh start at 7am by taking part in the traditional BioSB morning run led by our chairman Peter-Bram 't Hoen!

The BioSB 2025 conference will take place at kasteel de Berckt:

 

Overnight Stays

De Berckt offers simple (but clean and practical) accommodation (often with bunk beds) for a very reasonable price. The organizers of BioSB 2025 deliberately chose cheaper accommodation in order to be able to reduce the entrance fees compared to previous years.This was not an easy task as inflation does not work in our favour. Nevertheless, we managed to reduce prices as long as many people will opt for shared rooms.

Booking a single room means a relatively high price. Especially PhD students and young researchers are urged to book shared rooms. 

Single rooms are only available to a limited extent. If we run out of options we will have to resort to selling tickets without accommodation (twice the daily rate will be charged in that case).

Announcing vacancies at BioSB2025?

Please bring printouts / leaflets of your vacancies to announce them at BioSB. Ask at the registration desk where you can hang them.
