BIO
Dr. Ningfei Li is a Professor at Northwestern Polytechnical University and a prominent researcher in the field of deep brain stimulation (DBS). He received his PhD within the NetStim lab at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, where he continues to be a core developer for Lead-DBS, a comprehensive open-source pipeline for DBS imaging. He also previously held a research fellowship at Charité.
Dr. Li's research focuses on advancing DBS therapy through computational neuroimaging approaches. His work investigates connectomic targets in various neurological and psychiatric disorders, including Parkinson's disease, dystonia, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. He generates predictive models of structural and functional connectivity and links these to clinical improvement. A key aspect of his research is understanding how DBS modulates brain networks and identifying optimal stimulation sites to alleviate symptoms.
