Presentation information
Oral presentation
For parallel sessions, the presentation slot will be 15 minutes + 5 minutes for questions.
For keynote lectures, the total presentation time will be 45 minutes, which includes Q&A.
upload your slides or test your laptop
During the conference registration process, all presenters will receive information on where and how to upload their slide presentations to the laptop in the meeting room of their session. In the rooms, conference crew will be available to assist you with the upload where needed.
You can also use your own laptop for your presentation (please test during the break). If you have an Apple laptop, please don't forget to bring a VGA adaptor, these are not available at the conference center.
June 28

Poster presentation
Poster display
During the two conference days, the posters will be displayed in room Air. The poster presentation sessions are scheduled on June 28 in the late afternoon, from 17:45 - 19:30 and on June 29, during the lunch break from 12:45 - 14:00.
Poster setup and dismantle times
Poster setup (room Air): Tuesday June 28th, during first coffee break 10:30 - 11:15
Poster dismantle (room Air): Wednesday June 29th, after 17:00
Poster number
A poster number will be assigned to your poster and can be found on the poster lists that will be made available on paper during the conference as well as digitally on the website.
Poster room
For a nice experience of our conference visitors, we would like to keep the poster room (room Air) clean and tidy. For that we need your kind assistance. We kindly ask you to bring any poster sleeves etc. to your hotel room if you have one, or store it in the luggage room (accessible at the direction of the personnel behind the De Werelt hotel desk). You can always ask an assistant for help of course. It is always wise to label your possessions. Thank you in advance for your efforts.
Preparations
Please prepare your poster in A0 portrait format: height: 1189 mm (46.81 inches) and width: 841 mm (33.11 inches).
Poster prize
A prize will be awarded to the best poster presentation.
Demo presentation
During the application showcase you can give a software/tools demonstration. These sessions will be held simultaneously with the poster sessions, June 28 in the afternoon (17:45 - 19:30) and June 29 during the lunch break (12:45 - 14:00).
Please also prepare a poster. This gives the conference visitors a chance to read about your application, also outside the application showcase sessions.
A high table and electricity point will be provided, as well as space to hang your poster. You are kindly requested to bring your own laptop. Please do not leave your laptop unattended.

Call for abstracts (closed)
The main programme of the conference will feature several parallel sessions that will be filled via abstract selection. However, the submission for oral presentations has been closed.
You can still submit an abstract for a poster and/or demo presentation during BioSB 2022.
You can submit an abstract for:
- Oral presentation - closed (if selected, it will be added to one of the parallel sessions)
- Poster presentation - closed
- Demo presentation - closed

Abstracts will be reviewed by the BioSB 2022 Programme committee. You will receive a notification by e-mail.
Submission procedure
You can submit your abstract via EasyChair. If you do not already have an account, you will be prompted to create one the first time you visit EasyChair.
You can indicate if you would like to present your abstract as a:
- oral presentation if accepted, otherwise poster
- oral presentation if accepted, otherwise demo
- oral presentation only
- poster only
- demo only
Please tick the the 'ELIXIR-NL track' box in the submission form if you want your submission to also be considered for the ELIXIR-NL track (compute infrastructure, interoperability standards, registries and databases, etc.)!
NB:
- Please also provide the full abstract in the “Abstract” text box and upload the PDF as the abstract.
- Please add the presenter of the lecture of poster as first author!
Abstract preparation
Please prepare a 1-page abstract in PDF. The format should be:
- A4 paper;
- use Times Roman (10pt);
- two columns separated by 0.5 cm whitespace with margins of 2 cm;
- Please specify a title, the authors and their affiliations and e-mail addresses; underline the presenting author!;
- If applicable please use the section headings “Introduction”, “Approach”, “Results” and “Discussion”;
- A page number should be omitted.
If possible, please use the Word template provided.
