Route description & public transport

Route description and information about public transport can be found here.

For people traveling by public transport: there is a train station in Lunteren. You can reach this station by taking the Valleilijn either from the station Amersfoort or from Ede-Wageningen. Note that this train is operated by Connexxion and not the NS. Please be aware that if you use your OV chipcard you will have to first check-out for the NS and then check-in for Connexxion.

Be aware: no shuttle busses in the mornings

This year it appeared to be quite challenging to find shuttle busses. But don't worry, there is no need to drag your suitcase through the forest. We will make sure to collect your luggage at the train station Lunteren, and bring it to De Werelt for you, while you take a nice stroll (20 min) to Westhofflaan 2 in Lunteren. For people who are not able to walk this distance, a taxi will be available between 8.30 and 9.30. 

Carpooling

To all our guests who are arriving in Lunteren by car: you are very welcome to help your fellow conference members by offering them a ride to De Werelt.

Conference hotel

For those staying at the conference hotel, herewith some practical details:

• Check-in time after 15:00
• Check-out time before 09:30

Before check-in and after check-out you can leave your luggage in the cloakroom (behind the hotel reception) or in one of the lockers available at De Werelt.

Please note: you will not receive a separate confirmation of your hotel booking, this is included in your registration. You can check in by mentioning your name at the venue desk.

Breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 9:00.

Poster sessions & demo's

Posters should be prepared in A0 portrait format: height: 1189 mm (46.81 inches) and width: 841 mm (33.11 inches).

Demos: we will set up a poster board and a high table for you. Please bring your own laptop for the demo!

• Poster set up (Room Air): June 28, 10:30 - 11:15
• Poster sessions (Room Air): June 28, 17:45 - 19:30 and June 29, 12:45 - 14:00 
• Poster dismantle (main Air): June 29, after 17:00

Presentations & technical requirements

There is a presentation laptop available in every room, where you can upload your presentation in the coffee break before your presentation slot.

You can also use your own laptop for your presentation. If you have an Apple laptop, please don't forget to bring a VGA adaptor, because they are not available at the conference centre! Please check the programme for the time slot of your presentation

Meet the PI

Are you curious what it is like to be a PI or do you have any burning research questions? Sign up for the 'Meet the PI' session which is held during breakfast. The places are very limited so first come first serve. Sign up lists will be placed at the information board in Room Earth.

The abstract book can be downloaded from the website.

Wireless internet is freely available at the conference centre. On Twitter please use the hashtag: #BioSB2022. Updates will be tweeted via @BioSB_nl.

Feel free to leave information on events, courses, job vacancies, CV’s on the dedicated poster boards in Room Fire.

The registration desk opens at 8:30 and is located in the hall at the entrance of the conference centre.
