The conference will take place on the Estate of Oud-Poelgeest Castle.

The Estate lends itself to a surprising diversity of events. The Castle anno 1668 belonged to the famous professor Boerhaave and is surrounded by an Estate of 10 hectares full of deciduous trees, a gatehouse, a forester's house and a chapel. In addition, The Koetshuis (anno 1900) with the adjecent hotel is equipped with all conveniences such as free parking, WiFi and an atmospheric restaurant.

The hotel rooms, our meeting room and the restaurant are in Het Koetshuis.

On the first floor is Boerhaavezaal where all talks and breaks will take place. Be aware that there is no elevator! The lecture hall as well as all hotel rooms are on the first floor.

The restaurant is on the ground floor where breakfast for hotel guests, lunch and dinner will be served.

 

Walking at Oud-Poelgeest Estate

A walk around Oud-Poelgeest Estate is like a journey through time. You will be completely at peace as soon as you drive up the iconic driveway, surrounded by stately trees and an atmosphere of serene silence.

The Estate covers no less than 10 hectares of green, historic land. As soon as you enter the grounds, you will find a clear map at the entrance. This shows the various walking paths that take you past forests, pools and monumental buildings. You will also discover more about the Estate's rich history - from famous residents to historical elements still visible in the landscape.

There are routes for every walker: from a short walk to a leisurely exploration of nature. Along the way, you will come across information panels that tell you more about Oud-Poelgeest's past, giving each step just a little extra meaning.
