10:00 - 11:00 | Laughter Yoga

Is it hard for you to laugh or do you just want to laugh more? Ready to see the bright sight of life (again) and to reconnect to your unique laughter? Then a laughter yoga workshop might be something for you!  Laughter has many positive benefits for our psychological and physiological well-being. 

Shortly about me: I'm Selene, Spanish/German and graduated in Psychology (M.Sc.) in 2019 at the University of Twente. Since 2017 I frequently give workshops for several stakeholders and also conducted my own study about laughter yoga. Looking forward to see you soon!

A Health & Fitness session is a 15-minutes active break during your work/ study day.
It’s easy accessible, a lot of fun and you don’t need to change clothes because we will do low impact exercises.

12:00 - 15:00 | Self Health Check

Are you curious about the status of your general health and fitness? Sign up for the self-health check. During this short self-health check, you can measure your body composition, blood pressure, strength & flexibility. All the necessary materials to do the tests are available, you go through a number of tests yourself in the room. With each test you will find the purpose of the test, an explanation of how to perform the test and the reference values.

Please note: Keep in mind that it is possible that you will be present in the room with 1 or 2 other participants. 

Preparation

  • Do not eat or drink just before the measurements
  • Avoid drinks containing caffeine before the measurement
  • Wear comfortable clothing and an upper part of which the sleeve can be pulled up because of the blood pressure measurement

13:30 - 15:00 | Safe Connections

This workshop is mainly dedicated to students, to help them navigate the intricacies of establishing new relationships in a safe and sustainable manner. In this workshop I will also combine the feeling of "safety in your body" aspect, so that you can recognize safety in connection with others, but also how to build and maintain safe connections / relationships.

15:30 - 16:45 | Yin Yoga the art of doing less = feeling more and feeling more alive

Most of us are used to doing a lot of “things” to feel alive. In primary and elementary school, we don’t get educated about slowing down or taking naps. But what if you can feel MORE alive by doing LESS? This is the field of Being in Doing. Due to the integration of yoga, meditation and silence, into our daily day life, we can make this change. The more we slow down, the more we reconnect with our true nature, emotions and feelings.

Yin yoga is a gift for those who are looking for a more in-depth practise of reconnecting to their true nature. For those who are longing for more rest and ritualising stillness into the daily busy yang life-style. During the workshop you will be showered with yin yoga and loads of deep breaths. 

Introduction of Ilona
Hi, my name is Ilona Wijnands. In my daily life I am a passionate yoga teacher. I love to make people aware of how they take care of themselves, their time, energy and boundaries. I love to share and listen to real life stories from all kind of people. Teaching people how to properly rest and listen to their body is my specialism. No degrees needed, just step into a pure yin yoga class.

My life has always been hectic and busy and filled up with “things”. For the most time I was in doing modus, to avoid feeling all my feelings. I studied communication and was busy building my career. Doing loads of tasks and taking care of others and projects made me feel like I was somebody. But it left me unseen and empty inside at the end of the day. The moment yin yoga came into my life, everything changed.

We'll start with some snacks and relaxing music so you can get comfy and chat with the people. After that, we’ll watch a movie on a big screen in the spacious Kaleido Hub at Tapijnkazerne 21.
