Benelux Metabolomics Days 2026

 

The Benelux Metabolomics Days is the annual conference of the Benelux Metabolomics Centre (BMC), bringing together the metabolomics community from the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg.

The 2026 edition will take place on Tuesday 22 and Wednesday 23 September 2026 at Stadscampus – Hof van Liere, University of Antwerp (Belgium).

Hosted by Professor Wout Bittremieux and Professor Adrian Covaci, the conference will feature keynote lectures and sessions highlighting emerging and topical areas in metabolomics, as identified by the Programme Committee. Oral and poster presentations by early-career researchers will be selected through the abstract submission process.

The Benelux Metabolomics Days offers an open, friendly, and inclusive environment that encourages lively scientific discussion, knowledge exchange, and community building across the Benelux metabolomics network. Please have a look at our Code of conduct. 

 

Scientific programme

The conference will feature keynote lectures and offers a platform to present Metabolomics research developments via oral presentations as well as poster presentations. Presentations by Early Career Researchers will be selected by the scientific committee through the submission of abstracts. 

We encourage all PhD students, postdocs and senior researchers working in metabolomics to join and share their work with the Benelux metabolomics community to make new connections and expand their metabolomics network during these BeNeLux Metabolomics days.

Abstract submission for oral presentations is OPEN!

Want to present your metabolomics research and show the impact? We strongly encourage all PhDs, PDs but also senior researchers to upload their abstract in one of the various sessions, which cover a broad spectrum of metabolomics research.

There will be ample networking breaks, poster sessions, Young BMC symposium prior to the conference, drinks and a conference dinner on the first day.
