This year, we’ve got a number of updates and new features lined up, so you know exactly where we’re headed. Want to know when these changes go live? Keep an eye on our newsletter and LinkedIn channel for the latest updates.
The key feature updates at a glance
A revamped abstract handling module
Sound familiar? You’re organizing a conference, submissions are coming in, and then the real work begins: assigning the right reviewers, deciding who gets to speak, and responding to every submission. We believe that this process can be smarter.
That’s why we’re modernizing Abstract Handling this year. We'd like to focus on making it more intuitive and giving you greater control over the review process. So you can focus on what really matters: a strong program with great speakers, instead of the logistics around it.
Build your own certificates in aanmelder.nl
Sometimes you organize a training or course. You track attendance, including subsessions, assign accreditation points, and issue certificates of participation. But actually sending those certificates? That can be a hassle.
aanmelder.nl already had a certificate builder, but it had to be enabled on request. Now, we’re making it more widely available and more versatile. Our certificate builder is evolving into a Document Builder, allowing you not only to create and send certificates, but also other types of documents. Think of VIP invitation letters or official letters of invitation for international attendees applying for visas. Want to share a document with your participants? This will be your go-to starting point.
A central place for shared task management with your team
In aanmelder.nl, multiple people can work in the platform at the same time: the event manager handles communication, the marketer updates the event website, and the finance colleague checks invoices. This can all be done simultaneously.
What was still missing? A central place to track all related tasks. That’s changing with our new Project Management feature. Create tasks, assign them to the right person, set deadlines, and give everyone instant visibility into what’s still open without needing constant follow-ups.
A better starting point
When you create your first event in aanmelder.nl, you just want to quickly understand how it works and what’s possible. That’s why we’re introducing three fully set-up demo events you can use as a starting point. Explore how an event is structured, take what you need, and build from there.
For those who want to get started even faster, there will be a second option. With a smart setup, you’ll answer a few questions, and aanmelder.nl will automatically prepare much of your event for you.
Already an experienced user? No worries. Everything will work just as you’re used to. Start from scratch or duplicate a previous event, make adjustments, and go live.
Your badge, your style: design it with ease
A badge is more than just a name tag. It’s the first thing participants wear when they arrive and the first thing others see.
Soon, you’ll be able to design your own badge within the Badge Builder in aanmelder.nl, giving you full control over the look and feel. The added benefit? No need for a designer or support from our Event Consultants. You can get started right away.
We're making it even easier to integrate your favorite tools with aanmelder.nl
That’s why we’re introducing a set of ready-to-use integrations this year. You’ll be able to set these up yourself, without technical knowledge. Easily connect aanmelder.nl to your CRM or CMS and continue working the way you’re used to.
Curious which integrations we’ll launch first? Keep an eye on the newsletter. Got a suggestion? Send us an email at marketing@aanmelder.nl.
On the horizon: the new event app
This is the biggest project of the year—and, to be honest, of early 2027 as well. We’re building a mobile event app for participants: a place where they can follow the program, discover speakers, and connect with other attendees.Stay tuned for updates. Keep checking the newsletter, aanmelder.nl’s LinkedIn channel and/or the ‘New features – Event Management’ blog category for the latest updates.
