As of December 1, 2024, aanmelder.nl will transition to a new pricing model: the license model. When extending your partnership or becoming a new customer, you will need a license to retain access to your account and events. This new license provides greater flexibility: you determine how many credits you expect to use for various services such as registrations and check-ins, and you can allocate them as needed. Credits are the virtual currency you use for these services.
Are you curious about what a license is, how the new model works, and how it can improve your experience? We’ve compiled a list of frequently asked questions and answers for you below.
An aanmelder.nl license is required to use our services. You can choose to take out a license on a monthly or yearly basis, and this will give you access to all the tools and features for organizing events. An active license also ensures that your credits remain linked to your account. Additionally, your event data is securely stored on our servers, allowing you to always access your own event data and insights.
Credits can be seen as a virtual aanmelder.nl currency that you can purchase and use to pay for services on our platform, such as registrations and add-ons. For example, one credit is equivalent to one registration. One check-in - including badge print - is equivalent to 1.5 credit. You can purchase credits with your own aanmelder.nl license.
You can purchase credits through your aanmelder.nl account. Credits are typically paid for in euros. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Sales. Our team will be happy to help you estimate your credits starting December 1.
Many services can be paid for with credits, but not all of them just yet. Initially, the following services will be covered: registrations, ticketing & payments (the financial administration add-on*), contributions (the abstract handling add-on), check-ins (with or without badges), subsession check-ins, and SMS services.
Our goal is to eventually allow as many aanmelder.nl services as possible to be paid for with credits.
*Good to know: Are you offering free tickets? These will not be counted under the financial administration add-on. This is particularly useful for non-profit organizations!
The following services will continue to be billed in euros:
This applies to our product Event Streaming.
For Event Check-In, the following services are paid for in euros:
For Event Management:

For bundle customers, this change will only apply after their bundle ends or when it’s fully used. For pay-as-you-go customers, the change will apply when publishing a new event after December 1st.
Update: Switching to our new licensing model is simple! This article outlines all the steps you need to follow. You can even prepare an estimate of your license and credit usage to seamlessly transition at a later time.

Disadvantages:
On the day the new pricing model is launched, you will receive more information from us. The pricing page on aanmelder.nl will be updated with the latest pricing information. We will also provide an online calculator that allows you to estimate your credits.
In the calculator, you can input details like how many registrations you anticipate for the upcoming year, if you need any add-ons, and an estimate of how many check-ins you might have. Based on this information, you can make an accurate credit estimate. Our team will also be available to help with any questions and assist in making the right estimation.
Credits have no expiration date, so you can use them whenever you wish! Exceptions can be made for enterprise organizations, but this will always be discussed with you in advance.
If you have credits left over at the end of the period, it’s a good idea to reduce the number of credits for the next period. This helps you avoid having an unnecessary surplus while continuing to organize events. You can base this decision on clear insights and data regarding your usage within your account.
We don’t want your event registration to be interrupted by a shortage of credits. You can still receive registrations even if you run out of credits. However, you will need to balance your account by purchasing additional credits later.
To use aanmelder.nl effectively, credits are generally required. However, you can also choose to purchase a license in the future to maintain access to your account data without needing to buy credits immediately.
No, this is not possible. You can, however, transfer credits to another department within your own company, but selling or transferring credits to other organizations or companies is not allowed.
None! If you are currently paying for your event registrations afterward (Pay as you go), the billing for this event will proceed as usual, at the old rate, as long as the event was published before December 1.
Once your event has concluded or you create a new event, you will be asked to switch to the new model. You can also choose to convert your ongoing events earlier. These events can be converted to credits as of December 1. This can be done by the organization owner (a role within aanmelder.nl).
None! You can continue to use your “old” bundle registrations until the bundle’s expiration date. This applies to both ongoing and new events. Starting December 1, you can prepare a license and credit estimate for when your bundle ends or is fully used. You can also choose to start your license earlier. Any remaining registrations can then be converted to credits. This gives you full control.
If you don’t take any action, any remaining registrations - outside of the registration bundle - for ongoing events will be billed afterward in euros (pay as you go). Alternatively, you’ll be asked to switch to the new model when your registrations are used up, and you create a new event. The organization owner (a role within aanmelder.nl) can make these adjustments.
We switched to credits to offer our customers more flexibility and to enhance the synergy between our products. We believe that events are more successful when multiple of our products, such as Event Management and Event Check-in, are used together. With the new credit system, customers can now use credits for a range of services, such as registrations, check-ins, and add-ons.
This system gives you the freedom to use credits where you need them most. You are no longer limited to a fixed number of registrations. In addition, you benefit more quickly from discounts based on your overall usage. When purchasing more credits, you receive a discount on your total costs. This encourages the use of multiple products, resulting in a better experience for participants.
Moreover, you can adjust your credit allocation throughout the year, allowing you to meet your specific needs flexibly.
In short, credits not only make organizing your events simpler and more flexible but also more cost-effective.
You cannot adjust your license mid-term. The license has a fixed price, but you can increase your credit plan during the year. However, reducing your credit plan is only possible during the annual renewal. All credits are granted at once, which makes mid-year reductions impossible. Upon renewing your license after one year, you will automatically receive the same number of credits.
You can cancel your license, depending on the period you originally selected. With a monthly license, you can cancel it monthly, while with an annual license, this can be done yearly.
Yes! As long as these events are under the same organization in aanmelder.nl, this is possible.
After December 1st 2024, once you’ve switched to your license, you’ll have access to a personal dashboard in aanmelder.nl, where you can see, for example, how many credits you have left, when your license expires, and where the credits have been spent. There will also be filtering options at the event or service level.
