More registrations? The power of reminders

Every event manager knows: no invite = no visitors. But what almost no one expects is that it’s not the first invitation, but the repetition that makes the difference. Sending it once feels proper, sending it twice can quickly seem a bit “pushy,” and sending it four times might sound a little over the top…

Yet our data tells a different story.

Anonymous data from aanmelder.nl shows that reminders are the silent force behind higher attendance. And the numbers don’t lie.

Some key figures

  • Sending one event invitation results in an average registration rate of 9.3%. That means over 90% of your target audience is (still) not activated.
  • With two invitations, the average registration rate already rises to 13%. That’s an increase of no less than 40% in absolute visitor numbers.
  • And if you send four or more invitations, you achieve an average registration rate of 15%. That’s 60% more than when you send only one invitation.

In short: if you currently send only one invitation, you’re probably missing opportunities. Even with two invitations, there’s still room for improvement (though the impact is smaller).

    Sending reminders? Definitely recommended!
