Invitation to register in advance

On Wednesday 10 November, we will launch Leiden European City of Science 2022. For the very first time, a European city will host a festival of 365 days, brimming with science, knowledge, art and expertise. Highlights of the program include the EuroScience Open Forum (ESOF), the European Union Contest for Young Scientists (EUCYS) and the hyperlocal program Knowledge throughout Neighborhoods. In 2022, Leiden will be the hotspot of European science!

During the hybrid launch we will welcome esteemed guests such as Shamila Nair-Bedouelle (Assistant Director-General for Natural Sciences, UNESCO, Paris), Jean-Eric Paquet (Director-General Research and Innovation, European Commission, Brussels) and Ingrid van Engelshoven (Minister of Education, Culture and Science, The Hague). We will present the 22 highlights of this remarkable year, as well as our brand new visual identity and website.
