Welcome

 

Welcome to the website of the 2023 edition of the European Workshop on Optical Fibre Sensors (EWOFS), which is being held at the University of Mons in Belgium from May 23rd to May 26th.

After the success of the past editions in Limassol (Cyprus, 2019) and Limerick (Ireland, 2016), the conference was long expected and is at least back, in the center of Europe this time.

EWOFS is one of the major international events for the optical fiber sensors community and is the right place to learn about the recent academic and industrial advances on the technology.

As for the previous editions, the workshop is organized with plenary sessions of invited speakers presenting the state-of-art of their specific domain and thematic poster sessions for all the contributed papers. Each poster session is followed by small group discussions with the purpose to analyse and comment the contributions. The conclusion of each group is then presented to all the attendees. The purpose of this format is to optimize efficient and fruitful discussions and interactions within our optical fiber sensing community.
