Registration

If you wish to participate in this year's IBUC conference, it is essential that you register as soon as possible. If you have any questions about registration or conference fees, please do not hesitate to contact the conference secretariat via IBUC2016@cbs.nl.

We kindly request you to register before Monday, 1 August 2016. We offer an early-bird rate for IBUC only (4-6 Oct) of 395, IBUC + Monday (3-6 Oct) 445 and only the pre-conference day (3 Oct) for €95, which applies until 31 July 2016. 

If you register on or after 1 August, the conference fee for IBUC only (4-6 October) is 450, IBUC + Monday ( 3-6 Oct) 495 and only the pre-conference day 3 October is €95

Conference Participation

Participation in the conference can only be confirmed once the full registration process including payment has been completed. Conference participation will be confirmed via e-mail by the organisation of this conference.

The organisation reserves the right to deny access to the conference to any individual at any time.

Payments can be made by credit card or iDEAL (Dutch banks). If you prefer to pay via a bank transfer and require an invoice, please contact the conference secretariat via IBUC2016@cbs.nl.

The conference organisation bears no responsibility for individual medical, travel or personal insurance and all delegates are strongly advised to take out their own personal insurance before travelling to the conference. The organisation shall not accept any liability for damages and/or losses of any kind incurred by conference participants or by persons accompanying them during official activities.

Delegates participate in all events at their own risk. Participants are advised to take out insurance against loss, accidents or damage that may be incurred during the conference. Verbal agreements will not be binding unless they are confirmed in writing. Dutch law is applicable.

Passport and Visa

If you require a visa letter, please contact our conference secretariat via IBUC2016@cbs.nl.

Visa letters will be distributed until 1 September 2016.

Insurance

The organisers do not take responsibility for individual medical, travel or personal insurance and all delegates are strongly advised to have their own personal insurance before travelling to the conference. Currency / Banking

The Netherlands uses the euro (€) as its official currency. International credit cards and debit cards are also accepted for payment in most hotels, restaurants and shops.

The Hague has a wide range of hotels for different budgets, also in the city centre, where New Babylon is located. You are free to choose your own accommodation. We can offer a block reservation at ibis City Centre hotel, close to the main shopping district of The Hague and 20 minutes' walk from the meeting venue. It is about 5 minutes by tram from the hotel to Central Station and the meeting venue New Babylon. Tram stops 2,3,4 and 6 are nearby ibis City Centre hotel.

Hotel rates quoted are including breakfast and excluding tourist tax, per room per night

Triple use: € 125.00

Tourist tax is € 3.30 per person per night.

 

Travelling by public transport

Travelling by OV Chipcard

If you want to use public transport in The Hague, you need an OV Chipcard. Information about the OV Chipcard 

It is useful to buy an anonymous OV Chipcard for 10 euros and deposit credit on it for travelling.

Travelling from the airport

If you want to travel from the airport by train, you can either buy a train ticket or you can purchase the OV Chipcard at the train station. It takes about 30 minutes to get from Schiphol Amsterdam train station to The Hague Central Station by train.

Travelling to the meeting venue

New Babylon Meeting Center is centrally located at a stone's throw from The Hague Central Station and the city centre. There is a direct train connection between Amsterdam Schiphol Airport and The Hague CS. For itineraries, visit the NS website.
