De Lokale Klimaatagenda biedt gemeenten, regio’s, waterschappen en provincies een platform om kennis te ontwikkelen en te delen. In ruim 20 leergroepen wordt veel kennis opgedaan. Van nieuwe sanitatie tot verduurzaming van gemeentelijk vastgoed en van energienormen voor bedrijven tot slimme mobiliteit.
In een Kenniscarrousel van 3 bijeenkomsten met 10-20 sessies kunt u kennis maken met instrumenten, actuele ontwikkelingen of praktijkvoorbeelden rond diverse onderwerpen.

This year TEDxDelft theme is never grow up. NANOARCH is the annual cross-disciplinary forum for the discussion of novel post-CMOS nanocomputing directions and emerging nanoscale CMOS.

The symposium seeks papers on innovative ideas for solutions to the principal challenge facing integrated electronics in the 21st century - how to design, fabricate, and integrate nanosystems to overcome the fundamental limitations of CMOS

The focus of ATOS 2011 was about industry and academia considering how air transport should evolve in order to optimise its value in the 21st Century! Slowly but surely, countries are climbing out of the economic recession and growth rates are positive. The aerospace industry can now be very positive about recovery but in that pioneering spirit of the past, needs to focus more than ever on sustaining value in order to evolve faster in the right direction in this transition time of added opportunity; when we can emulate the pioneers of the past! The opportunity that lies in front of us includes other key aerospace performance challenges, such as SESAR’s aims in being able to handle a threefold increase in capacity, improving safety by a factor of 10, reducing environmental impact by 10% and reducing expenses by a half.

Since April 12 2012 we have changed our company name from QuinTech Engineering Innovations to Type22. A name that fits better with our ambitions and our products.

Ondernemers, waterbeheerders en starters die op zoek zijn naar innovatiekansen, inspiratie en waardevolle nieuwe contacten komen naar het kennisfestival op 13 juni in Delft.

Op het kennisfestival worden ondernemers en waterbeheerders uitgedaagd om in discussie te gaan over drempels en het ontbreken van voorzieningen die de economische groei beperken. Daarnaast zijn er workshops over financiering, zoals effectief subsidies werven, durfkapitaal, fondsen en financiering.

Water is crucial for the development of every city. All over the world, cities are confronted with increased and uncontrolled urbanization, higher risks of flooding, scarcity of water for industry, households and ecosystems, rising pollution, ground subsidence, climate change and energy shortages. In addition, ever higher demands are being placed on our living environment, and citizens are becoming more outspoken in standing up for their rights. At the same time, we have more and more technologies at our disposal for measurement, processing information and purifying water for multiple use.

Uit onderzoek blijkt dat de meeste professionals in de jeugdzorg te maken krijgen met agressie. Hoe ga je daar als jeugdzorgwerker mee om? Wat is toelaatbaar, wat niet? En vooral, wat is werkbaar voor jou als professional, je organisatie, maar ook voor je cliënt!

Hierover ging het interactieve congres Jeugdzorg: Zo! op maandag 11 juni 2012 in NBC Nieuwegein. Op het congres werden recente ontwikkelingen, succesvolle aanpakken uit de praktijk en vernieuwende praktische handvatten in interactieve sessies besproken en toegelicht. Er was volop ruimte voor het delen van kennis en ervaring.

The 23rd SFTE European Chapter Symposium will be held at National Aerospace Laboratory NLR premises in Amsterdam, The Netherlands from 11th to the 13th of June 2012. The local organization of the symposium is in the hands of the Netherlands Association of Aeronautical Engineers NVvL and National Aerospace Laboratory NLR.

From May 30-June 2, 2012, the 11th European Conference of the Association of Business Communication will be hosted by the department of Business Communication Studies at the Radboud University Nijmegen in the Netherlands. Scholars, practicing professionals and educators are invited to join in a dialogue about the conference’s main theme: beyond boundaries.

From liberalization to a societal responsible regulation of infrastructures

This conference explores how important societal objectives can be taken into account in the regulation of infrastructures in a liberalized market setting and how these objectives may be translated into incentives for core decision makers in infrastructure industries. This so-called ‘value sensitive design of the governance of infrastructure regulation’ will result in different conclusions for different infrastructures. Therefore, several sector specific workshops will explore the general theme for various domains such as energy, telecom, water, railways, and transport.

The heavy duty truck transport sector which uses trucks to transport cargo covers a very large business area. Due to climate change and economical issues it is crucial, however, to find solutions to stay sustainable and competitive. One way to address this issue reduce the aerodynamic drag.

Het doel van de cursus “Presentatie Vormgeving” is om de cursisten zoveel mogelijk te leren van de programma’s Photoshop, InDesign en Illustrator afkomstig uit Adobe Creative Suite. De basis van elk van de drie programma’s wordt tijdens de lessen uitgelegd zodat de cursisten met weinig Adobe-ervaring een stevige basis krijgen. Degenen met wat meer ervaring komen ook zeker aan hun trekken omdat het tempo van de cursus aardig hoog is. Het is echter geen cursus voor echte gevorderden.

De cursus is een praktische cursus, gericht op wat studenten/medewerkers nodig hebben om (presentatie)posters, (studie)verslagen, beeldcollages en portfolio’s te kunnen maken. De docent biedt tijdens de vijf lessen ook hulp op maat bij projecten die men onderhanden heeft.

13 EERA Joint Programmes have been launched since 2008. EERA Joint Programs follow the SET Plan thematic and priorities for low carbon energy supply and energy efficiency. More than 150 public research centers, universities and more than 2000 researchers are involved in our Joint Programmes.

Four EERA Joint Programmes CCS, BioEnergy, Materials of Nuclear and Smart Grids will undergo an open review, discussing the strategic direction of the EERA Joint Programmes within the overall framework of the SET Plan with stakeholders.

On April 26, YES!Delft Students in cooperation with Microsoft and Brunel organized the Entrepreneurship Forum for the second time in the auditorium of the Delft University of Technology. A record high 762 visitors came to get inspired by the stories of Pieter Geelen (founder TomTom), Tobias Edström (top-executive Spotify), Claire Boonstra (founder Layar) and the grand opening by Rinke Zonneveld (Director Entrepreneurship Ministry EL&I).

The newly established TU Delft Process Technology Institute comprises fourteen full-time chairs with nearly two hundred PhD students, postdocs and guest researchers in three departments: Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology and Process & Energy.

The Institute will focus on multidisciplinary research in three areas: Biochemical Process Engineering, Process Intensification and Process Technology for Advanced Materials.

MKB-Arbeidsvoorwaarden organiseert in samenwerking met Achmea Sociale Zekerheid een nieuwe Leergang Arbeidsvoorwaarden. Hoofdonderwerpen tijdens deze 6-daagse leergang zijn o.a. cao-vernieuwing, cao-wetgeving, pensioen en social zekerheid.

Met deze Collegereeks voor Ondernemers helpt de Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam u verder met het behalen van de groeidoelstellingen van uw bedrijf. U krijgt naast de nieuwste inzichten vanuit de wetenschap, toegang tot praktische
ervaringen van een select gezelschap topondernemers.

Contractmanagement is hot voor de overheidsinkopers. Vandaar dat we hier een themadag van gemaakt hebben. Als hoofdspreker van de Landelijjke Inkoopdag Waterschappen komt Professor Jan Telgen ons hierover bijpraten.

Het College van Bestuur heeft de Delft Innovation Award 2011 geïnitieerd om de grootse innovaties van de universiteit zichtbaarheid te geven en de wetenschappers in het zonnetje te zetten. Wetenschappelijke uitvindingen vormen immers de schakel tussen zuivere wetenschap en baanbrekende innovaties die voor economisch of maatschappelijk nut toepasbaar zijn.

Dit verzilveren van kennis wordt ‘valorisatie’ genoemd. Ze zijn van wezenlijk belang voor de TU Delft, maar ook voor de regionale en wereldwijde economie.

Op 2 december vond de manifestatie FRIENDS! plaats. Een dag vol lezingen, masterclasses, workshops, een filmprogramma en feest! Met o.a. filosoof/auteur Stine Jensen, bioloog/auteur Midas Dekkers, Lama Geshe Ngawang Zopa (uit Tibet), ethicus Marcel Becker, dansmakers Emio Greco | PC en beeldend kunstenaar Domenique Himmelsbach de Vries.

HealthTIES is a consortium that gathers four of Europe’s top regions in biosciences, medical technology and health entrepreneurship: Medical Delta (West of the Netherlands), Oxford and Thames Valley (United Kingdom), Canton of Zurich (Switzerland), Biocat (Catalonia), and the mentoring region of Észak-Alföld in Hungary. The consortium is backed by European Commission.

HealthTIES consortium addresses Europe’s greatest health challenges for the 21st century: the increasingly ageing population and the sustainability of the healthcare system.
